She earned her Bachelor of Sociology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and her Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She also received her advanced certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 2014. She has been in the behavioral health field since 1998. At this time, she began working in the clinical environment of the school-based setting before moving to outpatient and then working with various school systems and the Arkansas Department of Children and Family Services. Tammy has worked with BHSA since 2000. She has seen the agency grow and go through many changes throughout the time she has been here. She has enjoyed many roles during her time at BHSA; however, she has always remained committed to her primary role as a clinical therapist. She enjoys providing clinical treatment and working with various members of the community. Tammy enjoys spending time with her husband, her son, and her friends. She likes to spend time outside, camping, fishing, or sitting by a campfire in her free time. She finds yoga or curling up on the couch reading or watching a movie to be relaxing.
